More than 1,725 students have been named to the Fall 2017 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

Lebanon Valley College recognized nearly 250 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen fall athletic teams.

A total of 419 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at the Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 16 at 9:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. There will be 325 bachelor's degrees, 66 master's degrees and one doctoral degree awarded.

The Cedar Crest College Chemistry Club is open to students in the entire campus community interested in chemistry. The Club gives students the opportunity to meet professional chemists in academic, industrial and medicinal chemical fields. The Club sponsors lectures with guest speakers that are open to the College community as well as to members of area colleges. Chemistry Club members gain extra insight into the field of chemistry by visiting laboratories and companies. Eight Wilkes University students were named to the Guthrie Clinical Scholars program. The Guthrie Scholars program is designed to give qualified juniors and seniors at Wilkes University who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine the opportunity to earn 15 credits while gaining first-hand knowledge of the life of a physician.

The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's basketball team is off to a 5-3 start with a roster that includes five freshmen, two sophomores, four juniors and two seniors. RPI, which has won its first two Liberty League games, is idle until December 30.

Charlotte's Web, a full length play adapted from the book by E.B. White, by Joseph Robinette was performed at Cedar Crest College on November 2, 4 and 5, 2017. The play was produced by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

The students elected to the Executive Board of Wilkes University's Student Government are are asked to represent the entire student body, acting as a liaison between the students and administration. They plan and coordinate activities on campus, and promote fellowship, scholarship, and the name of Wilkes University.

Ruby Garcia of Allentown, a junior at the college, was awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship, Council on International Educational Exchange scholarship and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund scholarship. She is using the funds to study abroad in Brussels, Belgium during the fall semester.

The undergraduate Class of 2021 and the MSOT class of 2022 arrived at Alvernia University Aug. 17, and took part in service projects around the City of Reading for Orientation Day of Service Aug. 18.

Kutztown University and the Kutztown University Foundation have named 30 students as Presidential Ambassadors for the 2017-2018 school year. Founded in 1997, the Presidential Ambassadors is a student organization that works directly with the President's Office and the Kutztown University Foundation and Alumni Relations. The mission of the group is to support events that connect current students with alumni, faculty, staff and university friends; to act as ambassadors of the university; and to create new traditions which enhance KU Pride.
