The College hosts an Awards Ceremony in May after the spring semester classes end. Awards from academic departments across campus are given out to hard working students who have been selected by department chairs and College executives.

The Kutztown University men's basketball team has chosen three senior student-athletes to be team captains for the upcoming 2016-17 season, to lead the Golden Bears to another hopeful division title-winning, and NCAA Tournament-bound season. Austin Beidelman and Josh Johnson return as captains for the second straight year, and will be joined by fellow senior Ryan Connolly.

The State University of New York at Potsdam will recognize more than 1,000 candidates for graduation during the College's Bicentennial Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 21. The graduating Class of 2016 will be honored at a special ceremony befitting SUNY Potsdam's 200th anniversary.

The following local residents have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the spring 2016 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Albright students were recognized for academic achievements at the annual Honors & Awards Ceremony on May 1, 2016.

Nearly 300 students from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam will make their collective Carnegie Hall debut in a performance honoring the College's bicentennial on Mother's Day. Maestro Duain Wolfe will conduct the Crane Chorus and Crane Symphony Orchestra in a celebratory concert befitting the College's 200th anniversary, featuring guest artists, epic works and a world premiere. This concert will be offered on Sunday, May 8 at 8:30 p.m., in the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.

Kutztown University has inducted 14 sociology majors and minors in to the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society. Alpha Kappa Delta seeks to acknowledge and promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology,the research of social problems and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition.

Gamma Sigma Epsilon is a national honor society founded in 1919 in order to promote academic excellence and undergraduate research scholarship in chemistry. The society is governed by a National Executive Council of elected officers. Active members of the chapter shall be composed of students who have completed a minimum of 18 credit-hours in chemistry with a minimum grade point average of 3.2 in all chemistry courses and at least a 3.0 overall grade point average.

The Career Development Center offers two career development certificates each year that helps students become stronger, more confident & successful students and future employees. The Freshman/Sophomore Exploration certificate allow students to gain a greater understanding of themselves and the career development process. The Junior/Senior Success certificate allows students to gain a greater understanding of themselves, employer expectations, effective job search strategies and interview skills,

Lauren Sobczak is the recipient of the Silver Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award. The award is one of the most prestigious honors given at Kutztown University.

The Kutztown University Department of Criminal Justice inducted 28 new members into the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society. Alpha Phi Sigma is the national criminal justice honor society. It was founded in 1942 at Washington State University and became affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) in 1976. Today there are almost 300 Alpha Phi Sigma chapters around the country. KU's Kappa Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma was established in Spring 2008 with 13 founding members. The chapter advisors are Dr. Pietro Toggia and the assistant advisor is Dr. AnnMarie Cordner. To be eligible for membership, a student must be a criminal justice major or minor, have completed at least 40 credit hours, including at least four criminal justice courses, have an overall QPA of 3.2 or higher, and have a QPA in criminal justice courses of 3.2 or higher.

Kutztown University inducted 27 new members into the Alpha Sigma Lambda honor society on Saturday, April 9. Inductees are adult students who have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA and have successfully completed at least 24 credits at Kutztown University.

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned Merit Scholarships to attend Alvernia University this fall.

Delta Delta Epsilon is the only international honor society exclusively for forensic science. Delta Delta Epsilon, meaning "justice through science", is dedicated to recognizing and encouraging excellence in scholarship in forensic science, with the mission to function as an honor and professional society for forensic science students. Student membership requires a current minimum overall grade point average of 3.3 for undergraduate students and 3.5 for graduate students.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.

The 68th Annual American Academy of Forensic Sciences meeting was held from February 22-27, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nine students in the Master of Science in Forensic Science program at Cedar Crest College presented their research at the annual meeting, along with one forensic science undergraduate student.

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). Members have an overall GPA that is in the top 35% of their class based on rankings and a GPA in psychology that is at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Fairleigh Dickinson University students who have been inducted into FDU's Phi Zeta Kappa and Phi Omega Epsilon honor societies for the Fall 2015 semester.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2015 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus, located in Teaneck, NJ have been named to the Dean's and Honors Lists for the Fall 2015 semester.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2015-16 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2015 semester at Clarkson University.

Nearly 250 Albright College students were named to the Dean's List for academic achievement for the 2015 fall semester.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2015 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the Fall 2015 Semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.
