On Saturday, June 1, 2019, Exercise Science research students Ashley Heffelfinger, Alyssa Feher, and Emily DeDonna, working with Dr. Dianne Babbitt, presented their research, "Validation of a Cycle Ergometer Protocol in the Prediction of VO2 in a poster format" at the American College of Sports Medicine National Meeting in Orlando, FL. The initial research subjects consisted of 12 Cedar Crest College female students. Data collection continued over the course of the academic year to include 40 female and male subjects representing a variety of ages. The research abstract was published in the premiere exercise science professional journal, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise. Other Exercise Science research students who contributed to the overall project included Alissa Rusbarsky and Cassidy Barrett.

Moravian College named 745 students to the Dean's Honor List for the Spring 2019 semester. Students who carry three or more course units during the fall or spring term and attain a GPA for the term of 3.50 or higher are placed on the Dean's Honor List. More than 830 students have been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.

Nealry1,950 high-achieving students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Northampton Community College. The honor is reserved for students who have completed a minimum of 6 credits and achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in the Spring 2019 semester.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania congratulates the nearly 1,900 students who were named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. A full-time student whose semester GPA is 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of course work for which a grade or grades are received will be named to the deans' list.

During Commencement ceremonies on May 20, 2019, Lehigh University conferred 1,058 Bachelor's degrees, 339 Master's degrees, and 47 Doctoral degrees. Of the nearly 1,500 graduates, degree recipients came from 44 states and 61 countries and majored in 99 different disciplines. Congratulations, graduates!

On May 23, 2019, a total of 794 graduates received associate degrees, specialized diplomas, and certificates from Northampton Community College (NCC) at the Spring Commencement ceremony.

Slippery Rock University has announced its dean's list for the spring 2019 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Kutztown University inducted 12 students into the Sigma Pi Sigma Honor Society for physics at its induction ceremony this spring. Sigma Pi Sigma exists to honor outstanding scholarship in physics; to encourage interest in physics among students at all levels; to promote an attitude of service of its members towards their fellow students, colleagues, and the public; to provide a fellowship of persons who have excelled in physics. Sigma Pi Sigma's mission is not completed in the induction ceremony with the recognition of academic accomplishment. In the four dimensions of Honor, Encouragement, Service, and Fellowship, the mission of Sigma Pi Sigma takes a longer view.

Lebanon Valley College congratulates more than 650 students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

The Dean's List recognizes students who have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester.

Delphi is the college's honor society for undergraduate students. Students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 at the end of their junior year or their senior year are recognized as members.

Thirteen students from the Health Sciences Program in Wilkes University's College of Science and Engineering have been accepted into post-graduate programs.

Cedar Crest College celebrated the accomplishments of dozens of students during its 2018-2019 Awards Ceremony. The Cedar Crest College Awards Ceremony is held each year on the day before Commencement.

Coastal Carolina University graduates are exactly what the world needs, according to commencement speaker and doctoral candidate Leigha Peterson. Peterson addressed the graduating class of 2019 - more than 1,200 students - during three separate commencement ceremonies at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center May 10-11. "Whatever you are, put it out there," she said, "because it is better than good enough. It is exactly what the world needs!"

University of Scranton students were inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society. Alpha Sigma Nu is the only honor society open to students and faculty in all disciplines of the University.

More than 180 Kutztown University students have been inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) as part of the Spring 2019 class. To be inducted at KU, students must attend an orientation, a three-hour leadership training seminar, three success networking team meetings and three speaker broadcasts featuring leading figures delivering success-related messages to members.
